Aerocircular® has been granted a building permit
A next important and crucial step has been taken for the Aerocircular® dismantling facility at the Ostend-Bruges international airport (BE). On 21th September, the West Flanders Intermunicipal Association (short WVI) received the building permit for the partnering project with Aerocircular®. It grants permission to construct the site with the dismantling hall and offices and for the interconnection with an existing warehouse. After receiving the environmental permit in July, Aerocircular® is on track to develop its sustainable facility in Ostend. Aerocircular® developed a circular approach for the dismantling unit. A warehouse that stood empty for years is integrated in the project and the new dismantling hall’s steel and fabric will be upcyclable at the end of its life span. In contrast to other companies worldwide, Aerocircular®has chosen to build a facility to dismantle aircraft indoors. This will guarantee the quality of disassembled components, parts and materials, it will minimize the environmental impact and tackles safety and security issues of the activities. Aerocircular® wishes to acknowledge the pleasant and fruitful co-operation with all our partners involved.
