Project: Educavia – Education – Aviation
How will we tackle the challenge of the unbalance between the number of certified aircraft maintenance technicians, the existing education and training and industry needs? This question sparked educational stakeholders and aeronautical industry in Flanders and Netherlands to combine forces in the Interreg project ‘Educavia’. Through focused development and integration of aeronautical education Educavia’s aim is to prosper growth of this hightech sector. The output will be to have new educational trajectories and structures ready to train yearly 500 students through schools and 7000 employees in the MRO (maintenance repair and overhaul) companies.
The project is spearheaded by FLAG member VLOC.
Next to FLAG other partners are AM&TS (Aircraft Maintenance & Training Hogeschool – Hoogerheide, Nederland), Hogeschool VIVES (West-Vlaanderen), ZAVO (secundair onderwijs Zaventem), Brussels Airport House, NAG (Netherlands Aerospace Group), Holland Aviation Consultancy & Engineering Online (HAVE).
